 Bouygues Telecom Professional Cycling Team visits US

One of the youngest teams in the ProTour, Bouygues Telecom Professional Cycling Team, inaugurated their debut to US cycling at Lombardi Sports in San Francisco, CA. On February 16th, Louis Garneau staff and Lombardi employees welcomed the team, presented their 2008 Custom Louis Garneau Helmets, and let customers and staff schmooze with the international team. Lombardi Sports is the first Louis Garneau Mini-Boutique as part of a series of “mini-boutiques” opening across the United States in the year to come. Bouygues Telecom riders impressed with the Lombardi Store even partook in a bit of shopping. “Two paramount achievements are represented here tonight,” remarked Louis Garneau Marketing Director, Pierre Perron. “The Tour of California is Bouygues-Telecom first US race and we are welcoming them at the first Louis Garneau Mini-Boutique. The two achievements are indicators for success and Louis Garneau is energized for 2008.”
For 2008, the team will be riding the Louis Garneau Rocket Air and Titan Carbon helmets. The Rocket Air was windtunnel tested by Bouygues-Telecom last year and is now available to consumers. In addition, a few of the riders form The Bouygues Telecom team will be wearing the new Custom Fit CFS-150 shoe from Louis Garneau. The Louis Garneau CFS-150 (Custom Fit System) shoe is molded to your feet for a perfect custom fit. Built-in thermo moldable plastic lining provide enhanced shoe rigidity and efficient arch support for improved power transfer.
The Bouygues-Telecom team boasts two new riders this year, Evgeni Sokolv, a strong time trialist and Yuri Trofimov, winner of the 2007 Paris-Troyes. Returning riders and former French champs, Pierrick Fedrigo and Thomas Voeckler. Voeckler is not only considered one of the cleaniest riders in the ProTour but is renown for his ten day yellow jersey defending title in the 2004 Tour de France.
